Champions' Festival: What to expect for the Champions League fans

On May 24, the UEFA women’s Champions League final will take place at the Dynamo Stadium named after V. Lobanovsky (3, Mikhaila Hrushevsky str.). On May 26, the Olimpiysky stadium (Velyka Vasylkivska str., 55) will host the UEFA Champions League final. According to the order of the KSCA, the is starting a large-scale preparation for these prestigious events.
On the initiative of Football Federation of Ukraine the UEFA Champions Festival will be held on  Khreshchatyk srteet (from Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street to the architect Gorodetsky Street, using the roadway of the Independence Square) from May 24 to May 27:
- May 24, 25  - from 11a.m. to 11 p.m;
- from 11 a.m. May 26 to 1p.m. May 27;
- May 27 - from 11a.m. to 9 p.m.
Due to this, transport restrictions are possible during the installation of constructions and equipment necessary for organizing of a solemn event: from 08 a.m. to 11 p.m. on May 12-23, as well as during dismantling - from 08:00 to 23:00 28 - 31 May
Police representatives will not only ensure public order but will also adhere to the enhanced public order and road safety regime around the Dynamo stadiums and the NSC Olympic Stadium, the seats of supporters of different teams (based on risk assessment), and other places. For the operational provision of public order, non-state security structures will also be involved. Law enforcers also take care to prevent the illicit sale of tickets for football matches.

The Department of Health is instructed to create and timely update the necessary stock of medicines and medical products, disinfectants, etc. in case of complications of the epidemic situation.

Emergency (emergency) medical teams will be on duty at Boryspil and Kyiv (Zhulyany) international airports during arrival and departure of fans, following the transport with the Kyiv-Boryspil highway after arrival and before departure and, of course, at the stadiums during the football matches themselves.

For works of sorting platforms  that will be on the territory of "Dynamo" and "Olimpiyskiy" (territory of school № 78 of Pechersk district, 47 Shota Rustaveli Street), they will involve specialists and equipment of the municipal emergency rescue service "Kyiv Rescue Service".

In the park named after Taras Shevchenko and near the National Palace of Arts, "Ukraine" the places for collecting team fans during the finals will be set up. Information stands and organize temporary food items will also be established there. There is also the idea of holding a photo competition among the tourists of our city.

For the festive registration of Kiev, conducting of advertising and information measures meeting the relevant requirements of the UEFA will correspond to the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports.
Thus, designers' volumetric and spatial structures in the form of a UEFA ball will be installed on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, Bessarabskaya Square, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, near the Cinema Cinema Kyiv, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, and Kyiv Main Post Office; in the form of a UEFA star - on Independence Square, St. Michael's Square, St. Andrew's Descent, near the Golden Gate, in front of the Mariinsky Palace, in Navodnytsky Park, near the National Opera of Ukraine, on the observation deck of the Park of Eternal Glory. On the building on the street. Sofievska, 20/21 will place a banner (panels).
Public transport and lighting support on the streets of Saksagansk, Zhilyansk, Kazimir Malevich, Antonovich, Velyka Vasylkivska, Esplanadii, Basseynaya and Lesia Ukrainka Boulevard will be decorated with the corporate symbol of the Champions League finals. In addition, from May 24 to 27, Sofia Square will be decorated with the UEFA Champions League Cup model.

For those who will not be able to get to the stadiums, matches will be broadcast on Kontraktova Square.
